Braid

PROJECT INFO:

I directed, shot and edited the title sequence for the short film Braid. The film follows Lily, a young girl rebelling in the aftermath
of her mother’s death. The braid she wears in her hair is both a ritual and a reminder of her mother’s presence.

The title sequence adopts a quiet, almost voyeuristic perspective, observing Lily as she braids her hair. Intimate lighting heightens this sense of closeness, hinting at her vulnerability while subtly suggesting her emerging sexuality.
