We wanted to highlight that the global pandemic is an extremely difficult time for people living with sight loss who navigate through touch. Being told to restrict what we touch means they have lost that too.
Surgical masks have become a very powerful symbol of protection during the pandemic and we wanted to utilise this. By placing the protective mask over the eyes of a blind person we are demonstrating that we need to protect our blind community and the vital services of Fighting Blindness.
